Spaghetti Bolognese

Spag Bol - My recipe from years and years ago.

Ingredients

Method

  1. In a large saucepan melt some butter and brown the diced onion and bacon, remove from pan and put aside
  2. Add mince and constantly stir until browned through completely
  3. Add tomato paste one tub at a time and mix through to gain a consistent red colour
  4. Add garlic, onion and bacon, and mix through
  5. Crumble the stock cubes into the mix and mix through
  6. Add salt and pepper to taste
  7. Add tin of crushed or tomatoes
  8. Bring to boil
  9. Add basil and turn down to a simmer
  10. Simmer for an hour or 2, add water if needed

Optional you could also add carrot pieces.
