Sausage Rolls, Cheese & Basil

Method

  1. Combine beef and sausage mince with cheeses, basil, olives, tomato paste and breadcrumbs in a bowl, mix well.
  2. Cut each pastry sheet in half. Place mixture in a line along centre of each rectangle.
  3. Brush edges of rectangle with a little egg and roll over to enclose.
  4. Cut each roll into four pieces, prick top of each roll with a fork and brush with egg.
  5. Place rolls seam side down on oven trays.
  6. Bake at 220C for about 20 minutes or until browned.
  7. Serve with sauce, if desired.
