Pearl Cakes
Thanks Mum and Mums, Mum, Gran for this recipe, everyone loves these.
Ingredients
- 125g butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 dessertspoon golden syrup
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1/2 cup self raising flour
- 1/2 cup sultanas
- cornflakes
Method
- Cream butter and sugar, add golden syrup, egg, lastly the flours and sultanas.
- Roll dessertspoonful in crushed cornflakes and place on oven tray.
- Bake in moderate oven for about 10 minutes.
- Makes 20 to 25.
Notes – I cream butter and sugar together in a basin sitting in a sink of hot water. Lightly grease cooking trays.
