Guinness Bread

Ingredients
- 1/2 pint of Guinness
- 600g wholemeal flour
- 150g plain flour
- 75g oatmeal
- 2.5 tsp bread soda (bicarbonate soda)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2.5 tbsp brown sugar
- 40g butter
- 200ml black treacle
- 100 to 200ml milk
Method
- Mix all dry ingredients with butter until this resembles bread crumbs
- Add treacle, Guinness and milk
- Mix until you reach a wet dough
- Bake in a greased bread tin for 40-45min @ 170 degrees Celsius
- Serve with cream chive and cheese (philly) and fresh smoked salmon
