Bagna càuda
Warm bath is the direct translation from Italian to English.
Ingredients
- 250g Jar of anchovies
- Olive oil
- 8 garlic cloves chopped finely
- 1000ml Pure cream
- Raw vegetables chopped to handleable sizes, cauliflower, cabbage, capsicum etc.
Method
- Heat a small amount of olive oil in pan
- Simmer the anchovies in the oil until they have broken down
- Add the finely chopped garlic simmer, but do not brown
- Add cream, stir and simmer for 10 minutes
- Either spoon into individual bowls for each person or transfer to a fondue bowl in center of the table
